GREAT Show, VH All the way. I really liked how the band involved the crowd. I also liked the "Motley Crue" and "Ozzy" thing.. very cool. phenominal guitar work not to mention tight drums & bass.Oh yea vocals weren't bad either, just kidding they were great! I will defenitlly be going to check them out again in December. I 100% agree with "Diamond Dave" that 70's & 80's rock is and always will be THE BEST MUSIC EVER!! Thanks guys keep rockin' - Brian

I recently have been a great admirer of the band Van Halen. In the last couple of months, I have gone from buying their Vol. 1 and 2 CDs to all their CDs with the exception of the Hagar years(5150 was too sweet). Whenever I hear the original four... I get chills. I have to say that ol' FAN HALEN (more than your typical fan)knows VAN HALEN better than the band knows themselves...hats off to FANNY!!!

I won 2 tickets from KDKB and saw your band for the first time. The name of your band was not appealing to me so I had no idea what to expect from you guys. MAN OH MAN, I LOVED THE SHOW AND WILL TAKE THE FRIENDS NEXT TIME!!!! Not sure if we can join you for New Year's Eve....we'll see though. The young girl who opened up for you was also awesome......she can really play that guitar! I love your Van Halen show....keep it rocking guys!!

You guys are the best tribute band I had ever seen! Ralph you're the best. Good job Russ, although you should be using a vintage Marshall amp! Rythm section was powerful too!!! Can't wait to hear the Metal Shop here in San Diego.

OK First of all, I believe we may have travelled the farthest to see "The Punks" - All the way from sunny Buffalo NY. Let me tell you, we were not disappointed! We were very exhausted after watching the Angels come back and pull out an amazing game six win. But we decided we needed to check this VH thing out for ourselves. To say we were blown away; and had an absoulute blast, would be an understatement!!! First of all Ralph, your voice is still incredible, and you really know how to work a crowd. Russ NICE WIG BRO! Oh and some good guitar playing too! Everybody seems to leave out Joe and Scott. Holy COW - incredible. All I can say is VH was our favorite growing up and that sissy Sammy cancelled their Buffalo show the day of it this past suymmer!! You guys made up for that whole thing. After all it was DLR and Bryan we were paying to see. Thanks again for a fun night. Our next trip trip to L.A. will be planned around a Punks or Metal Shop show!!

An amazing performance! Ralph was in superior voice and the rest of the band was so tight. It really felt like a huge arena concert...and only the Punks can pull off a show like that. Thanks for an amazing show, guys. One of the best ever. Chris

The lights went low and the Atomic Punks took the stage. On the bass and drums, were two clean cut white dudes like you and me. On guitar, was a guy wearing a long, brown wig and a white and black guitar with asymmetrical striping, mimicking Eddie Van Halen circa 1978. On lead vocal, was the star of the show, a Diamond Dave look alike with long curly, blonde hair, black leather pants and a sleeveless white t-shirt. To start off, the band ripped through "Everybody Wants Some" and it was on. From the opening song to the end, I had my ear-to-ear rock n'roll grin going on so much that muscles behind my ears were sore after the show. To say that the show rocked would be an understatement. IT WAS F'N AWESOME!!!! (Chris Farley Show) The lead singer had every one of Roth's mannerisms and dance moves down and sounded just like him. The guitar player was unbelievable. He just effortlessly poured out the signature guitar work of the great Eddie V all night. All the harmonics and fret tapping, he had down. Every time he would play one of the signature licks, we would all turn to each other with a look like, "that's what's on the record." "Hot for Teacher", "Ain't Talkin'' 'Bout Love", "Panama", "Beautiful Girls" etc., they played all the hits except "Jump", "Janie's Cryin'" and "And the Cradle Will Rock". He even played an extended version of "Eruption" (the mind-blowing 10-minute guitar solo for you non-rockers). The Whisky was packed with rockers and the crowd knew practically every lyric. The lead singer let people sing and some people even jumped up on stage to rock. Towards the end of the show, the lead singer mentioned something about "the jungle", the guitar player teased the "Welcome to the Jungle" riff, and the crowd roared its approval. We simply would not let them stop playing GN'R. The band said "what the f?" and then rocked through one verse of "Welcome to the Jungle" with the crowd going apesh*t. After that, the lead singer asked what the crowd wanted to hear and we wanted ROCK N' ROLL, man. The guitar player started playing Ozzy's "Crazy Train" and again we were rockin' hard as the crowd roared "We're Goin' Off the Rails on a Crazy Train!!". The band closed with "You Really Got Me" and then the show was over. Ears were ringing as we spilled out onto Sunset and rolled home. What a night!! The Atomic Punks will return to the Whisky in October right before the Stones roll into to town and I will be there. Mark me down.
